The Smart Fieldmeter®_Digital (SFD) electromagnetic field monitor is a battery-operated instrument/data logger capable of 55 hours measurement operation with primary or rechargeable cells. The standard SFD electromagnetic field monitor is supplied with probes selectable from three isotropic models (0.2MHz - 3GHz; 2MHz - 12.5GHz; 3MHz - 18GHz). Probes are automatically calibrated on insertion. Field measurements can be made in Volts/Metre (0.01-1000 V/m), and W/cm2 (0.02 nW/cm2-249 mW/cm2) on the basis of three-axis isotropic rms observations. Every Kit includes: meter in hard case with accessories (AC/DC charger, table tripod, mounting clip, meter-probe SMA cable, SD card) and User Manual with Calibration Certificate.
 
The auto zero function operates at regular intervals and is accurate even in very high field strength environments. Measurements can be made on the basis of spatially averaged or time averaged analysis (30 ms to 30 s, under software control). The SFD bright, colour OLED display shows instant, average and maximum values at the same time, as well as remaining battery life, temperature, probe type and serial number, log file name and date.
 
The SFD electromagnetic field monitor employs a powerful data processor with data storage on removable flash memory data storage cards (MMC compatible) capable of typically storing data files of 100,000 points with a total capacity of 999 data files. Format is in text readable by Excel or Word. An adjustable threshold and 2 kHz buzzer operating on instant or average values provides an invaluable aid to rapid field intensity assessments. Interfaces available include serial, bi-directional, optically and fibre-optic RS232, and IR remote control.
