The new Dynex IGBT modules available from
Westek Electronics cover a large number of
applications including uni-directional and
bi-directional switching, chopper, dual and
single switching, as well as half-bridge
operation. Operating voltages are selectable
from 1200 Volts to 6500 Volts. In the 1200
Volt range rated currents range to 800 Amps;
in the 1700 Volts range, to 2400 Amps; in
the 3300 Volts range, to 1200 Amps; in the
4500 Volt range, to 900 Amps; and in the
6500 Volts range the rated current is 400
Amps. The Dynex IGBT modules are
characterised by very high peak current
handling capability. Dynex IGBT technology
is developed in-house by the Dynex R&D team,
and manufactured in dedicated wafer
fabrication facilities located in Lincoln
(UK), ensuring complete control of the
manufacturing process from dice through to
tested modules. Typical applications include
railway traction, induction heating,wind
power generators, industrial motor drives
and electric vehicles.
