Breaker
Analysis: ACTAS Series
The ACTAS Series of circuit breaker test
instruments have been specially developed to
perform automatic general operating tests on
all types of breaker, regardless of the type
of drive unit, including, for example,
- circuit breakers
- load switches
- disconnectors and earthing
- switches
Three models are available with
either 8. 16 or 24 switching outputs.

Resistance Measurement:
PROMET Series Micro Ohm
Meters
The PROMET range of micro
ohm meters deliver an
adjustable test current of
up to 600 A which is
independent of the supply
voltage.
They utilize the four-wire
resistance measurement
method, enabling them to
meet the most stringent
accuracy requirements.
State-of-the-art power
electronics coupled with a
robust design guarantee
maximum reliability, even
for portable use in
switching stations and
industrial environments.
PROMET ohm meters feature a
modern operating concept, an
interface to the test
systems of the ACTAS product
range and an optional remote
control unit, making them
both flexible and versatile.

Protection Relay Testing:
ARTES Series
The ARTES II Series of
protection relay test
systems have been optimally
designed for functional
testing, and especially for
the testing of the
configured excitation and
trigger response
characteristics (including
automatic reclose functions)
of a wide range of
protection devices, such as:
- distance protection relays
- differential protection relays
- overcurrent relays
- f, V relays
In addition, the ARTES
instruments can be used to test and
calibrate power, voltage, current
and frequency transducers. All the
test systems are controlled by an
external, standard PC. A variety of
software modules, known as test
monitors, are available for the
purposes of test performance and
evaluation. As a result, the models
of the ARTES II generation are
universal test systems providing the
ideal solution for a wide variety of
tasks beyond the scope of protection
relay testing alone.

Meter
Testing: METES Series
The METES Series of meter
test systems have several
different types of current
and voltage inputs. Direct
current inputs to 120 A are
provided for current
measurement as well as
measurement inputs for
error-compensated current
clamps with automatic
amplitude and phase error
compensation (KoCoS Smart
Probe technology). The
measuring range has a wide
span as a result.
The test systems of the METES
range provide high-precision
measurement and display of all the
variables of a three-phase system,
including:
- Voltages and currents
- Angles between currents and
voltages
- Active power, reactive power
and apparent power per phase and
in total
- Power factor
- Frequency
Several models are available
depending on the number of
phases and the accuracy
required.

Power
Sources: EPOS Series
The EPOS Series of
instruments are
high-accuracy current and
voltage sources.
Two different models are
available with maximum
output currents of 25 A and
120 A. Both models feature
an internal DC power supply
which can be used to feed a
test object, for example. In
addition to the sources
themselves, four binary
inputs and three binary
outputs are provided for
control purposes. A GPS
receiver module can also be
integrated for time
synchronization.

Power
Quality Analysis: EPPE
Series The
measurement systems of the EPPE
product range continuously
capture the measured values of
all voltage and current channels
thus making it possible to
analyse and document power
quality in accordance with
either individually defined or
internationally recognised
standards such as EN 50160 or
IEC 61000. The four voltage and
four current channels enable any
three or four-wire system to be
monitored comprehensively.
Several models are available to
cater for bench top, panel
mount, DIN rail mount and even
portable IP65 protected
instruments.

Digital
Fault Recording: Sherlog
Series
The energy network monitors
of the SHERLOG series
basically consist of two
functional units working in
parallel: a power quality
analyser and a disturbance
recorder.
In addition, an event
recorder/logger is
available.
There are six models
available to cater for rack
mountable and portable
applications.
