ESD
simulation
The simulation of
electrostatic discharges is
an important part of EMC
tests for all types of
electronic equipment. Many
test standards require pulse
voltages of a few kV to 15kV
while the automotive
industry has even higher
requirements (voltages of up
to 30kV must be applied to
determine the immunity
level). TESEQ’s ESD
simulators are characterized by a
compact and user-friendly design. The
NSG 435 and NSG 438 both feature a
large, easy to read LCD display that
shows the user all necessary parameters
during tests. They can be operated
either from rechargeable batteries or
from a mains power supply.
Product highlights
- Air and contact discharge
operation 200V to 30kV
- Touch screen display
- Battery-powered
- Compliant with industry
standards (IEC, ANSI, SAE, ISO,
etc.)
- Interchangeable network modules
- Adjustable discharge detection
- ISO self-test function

RF Amplifiers
for EMC testing
Teseq has a
complete range
of broadband RF
Amplifiers
suitable for EMC
test loads.
EMC RF immunity
testing is a
harsh
environment. RF
Amplifiers are
often operated
at their limits
and into poor
VSWR match. All
RF Amplifiers in
the Teseq range
are solid state,
Class A
configured and
therefore
mismatch
tolerant. Teseq
RF Amplifiers
can withstand
all of their
power being
reflected back
into their
output without
any risk of
damage.
Low harmonic
levels are also
an important
specification
during RF
immunity
testing. Teseq
RF Amplifiers
offer harmonic
levels >20dBc
below the
fundamental,
making them
suitable for the
EMC test
environment.
Teseq RF
Amplifiers are
available in the
following
frequency bands.
- 10kHz – 100MHz
- 100kHz – 1GHz

EMC antennas
achieve better
results faster
TESEQ provides
an extensive
range of EMC
antennas. The
well-known BiLog®
antenna, the
first ultra wide
band EMC
emission
measurement
antenna,
represents an
important
milestone in the
development of
EMC measuring
instruments. The
BiLog® is a
unique
combination of a
sophisticated
matching network
and innovative
design that
provides
significant
advantages over
conventional EMC
antennas. As a
result,
measurements can
be performed in
one pass without
changing the
antenna,
resulting in a
potential test
time savings of
up to 30%.
Subsequent
measurements are
also easier to
conduct and more
reliable. With
its X-Wing®
antennas, TESEQ has
applied the
advancements of the
BiLog® antenna to
immunity testing.
The advantage of
running a complete
immunity test with a
single antenna
provides significant
time savings. TESEQ
also offers loop
antennas, biconical
antennas and
broadband horn
antennas.

GTEM and TEM
cells
TESEQ provides GTEM/TEM test cells for EMC emission and immunity testing in a shielded environment in accordance with IEC/EN 61000-4-3 and IEC/EN61000-4-20. Pre-certification tests can be conducted during development in compliance with IEC/EN 55022, VDE0871, and other standards. TESEQ's GTEM/TEM cells generate largely homogeneous and simple to calculate fields with an excellent VSWR over the entire frequency range.
- High field strengths at low amplifier output
- No need to measure reflected power
- Only simple single-channel power meters required
- Reduced test time
- Customized configurations
- Frequency range DC to 20GHz

Compact reverberation chambers
Reverberation chambers (RCs) are modern EMC test environments in addition to the established methods like semi- or full anechoic rooms (SAR/FAR), open area test sites (OATS) or (G)TEM cells. They can be used for emission, immunity and shielding effectiveness testing.
A reverberation chamber basically consists of a shielded room and a stirrer
which changes (“stirs”) the electromagnetic field inside the chamber. The chamber itself behaves like a multi mode resonator. The main benefit of RCs is the low input power requirement for generation of high field strengths.
Teseq offers two new types of reverberation chamber models. The chamber XS, with the size of 2.7 x 1.5 x 1.3, has a starting frequency of approx. 500 MHz and chamber 2XS, with the size of 1.5 x 0.8 x 1.0 m, starts from approx.
800 MHz.
Chambers XS and 2XS are equipped with an optimized stirrer and a special stirrer motor to achieve the maximum performance.
Product highlights
- Frequency range up to 18 GHz
- Applications in the Automotive, Military and Commercial market
Supplied with two feed-throughs type N, Stirrer Control Program and stirrer with motor control and filtering
